Job Description
Your goal as Production & Facility Technician at our site in Whippany, USA, is to ensure that the production equipment and facility is in a full functional state and maintained in a regular base. You coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with the production department supervisor. Furthermore, you coordinate external service providers according to the approved supplier list. You are responsible for the adherence to our ISO 9001 SOP’s for equipment and facility maintenance.
- Responsibility for scheduling or execution of required maintenance tasks to keep all equipment and services in a properly running state
- Responsibility for required repairs to equipment and facility, with the support of global engineering and maintenance team where required
- Maintain and expand spare parts inventory for all equipment to minimize interruption in production
- Responsibility for the inventory and maintenance of knifes and counterknives as well as supporting the exchange where needed
- Responsibility for all maintenance and inspection tasks to be in compliance with local laws
- Documenting all executed maintenance (internal and external) as required by ISO 9001
- Completed training as electrician or AS/BS in electrical engineering with significant mechanical skills
- Several years in technical service, preferably in the equipment industry
- Ability to complete aforementioned tasks correctly, fully, independently and on time
- Carpentry skills are a plus
